Brief Description
The Pre Conception and Prenatal Diagnostic Technique (Prohibition of Sex Selection), Act 1994, as amended in 2003, prohibits misuse of prenatal diagnostic techniques for determination and disclosure of sex of foetus. It also prohibits any advertisements relating to prenatal determination of sex and prescribes punishment for its contravention.
